  1. Awesome, suggestion, I think you should add a link that says support forums or something like that on recuva.com Will there be a seperate forum for recuva at recuva.com?
  2. at the link Whats that all about? I'm going to try it out and see what I come up with. EDIT: tried it out and I can't get it set up right for some reason.
  3. How do I run something like this without having to install and set up stuff on the other PC? If that's not possible, how can I just give them a packet to install that sets everything up? Does VNC do that?
  4. I'm looking for a program (freeware highly preffered) that I can install and send somebody a "packet" that they run and they accept so that I could control the PC. I'm looking for it for a few of my family members and friends. Anyone heard of such a thing?
  5. I want to completely remove the icon. It's an external HD that is never removed so it wouldnt need to be "safely removed".
  6. Thanks TM but that costs.. Mike, he tried that but it keeps re-appearing anyways. Any suggestions? thanks for replies
  7. Friends got an extra HD and it's being detected as a removable device. He never unplugs it or anything but the icon to remove the hardware mysteriously appears and disappears. Is there any way to just HIDE it?
  8. maybe a name like "partially unrecoverable" then?
  9. When I opened it, I decided to plug my flash drive in and try it. It didn't auto-find it. I had to close the program and re-open it. Also, why show the unrecoverable files? After all, they are...unrecoverable. -aaron
  10. Awesome MrG! Are you still planning on comming out with a CCleaner 2.0 that is totally recoded?
  11. This is the error that I am getting when trying to run several programs. Any suggestions? Thanks EDIT: I have also tried uninstalling, running CCleaner, rebooting, then reinstalling and it still pops up. Also, heres the event viewer log.
  12. Yup, I tried it. It's pretty nice, blogs down the PC a bit but it's not like I'm going to be using it every day. I'm thinking about adding a video part to my website with tutorials on how to do stuff.
  13. Thanks everyone for the input It seems to be doing a awesome job at keeping stuff from starting up! thanks -aaron
  14. I'm looking for software so if im using a program or something, and want to show someone else how to do something, I can run a program that video tapes the screen. Anyone know of any? Freeware preferred..
  15. http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/spywareterminator.com Is that the one your talking about? I'm not sure if I'd trust it, it's on Mcafee's yellow list.
  16. I have spybot resident, it's supposed to stop stuff from adding itself to the startup menu but it doesn't do a good job of that and it's too bloated. Any other good free alternatives?
  17. awesome, i too was using windows blind. it was way too bloated. i think ill be using this for a while now if it works.
  18. Welcome sage Nope, haven't heard about it. When was it? -aaron
  19. Neither didn't work. I posted at winamp's site and they told me about a thread that worked. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=166479 Thanks for trying
  20. Even though winamp is bloated, I don't mind. I like it enough to deal with it. I uninstalled WMP as soon as I got my new PC..
  21. Anything else works fine. I've also tried other formats and have even tried old winamp versions.
  22. When I pause winamp for a second then press play to resume, all I get is static. I have to press next for it to continue to play normally as it did. I have also tried reinstalling it but with no luck.
