  1. For those of you who missed the tribute, I thought you may wish to see the 2 minute clip.

On Monday, December 17, 2012, NBC's popular reality talent show "The Voice" opened its third season finale with a tribute performance for the victims of the tragic elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn. last week. A lone gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday, killing 20 children and six adults.

  2. Today I had a notice to update Adobe Flash Player. As I proceeded, a pop-up from my anti-virus program (Comodo) warned me about a trojan. Not sure what the pop-up read exactly because it disappeared before I could really look at it, but I did notice the word trojan. I noticed the update was downloaded from "get3.adobe.com". This is suspicious because as far as I know the usual updates come from "get.adobe.com". I immediately uninstalled the program and re-installed from get.adobe.com.

I ran virus scans and nothing was detected.

I just wanted to warn you guys & gals that there may be a suspicious update.

  3. I keep telling you, keep taking the pills. And if you run out, I'll send you some of mine. :P

    :D LMAO

I am, I am, probably need a higher dosage. Also have changed my eyeglasses several times. Just wish it was possible to upgrade my memory like I did for old HAL here.

    :D Again LMAO

  4. Welcome to the forum Marok. I've used CCleaner for many years and find it does an amazing job. I feel the same about Defraggler. Regarding cleaning your registry, unless you're a really experienced user I would do like Hazel suggests - i.e. don't clean your registry too much. Using CCleaner for that task is your best bet.

  5. I still always open and check through the various branches of the displayed "tree" structure when uninstalling any program

I do the same. I do agree that some massive entry programs would be tricky.

  6. Would have responded sooner but I haven't been online. Like I said earlier, I've never had any problems with Advanced mode - perhaps I've been lucky but I've used it many many times. I gather that Dennis hasn't had any issues either or no doubt he would have mentioned it.

  7. I have used Revo Uninstaller for years. I have always used it in the Advanced Mode and have never had any problems after removing any program. I realize a novice could get in trouble using this mode but I doubt experienced users would have any issues.
