I just installed it and I like it, removed an old clean version of Foxit in the process to which by now had to have vulnerabilities. PDF X-Change Viewer has more features than I would ever possibly use, it can't be called basic, and should work very good as a complete Adobe or Foxit replacement.
yes,it was completely replaced them. Loading faster and portable version also available,here
and don't forget to check new version via Live Update if available, at least every two weeks

Yes, I just tested Opera 10.5 Alpha in my laptop and whoosh... look like promising for speed.
Chrome, FF 4.0 ( next version will released at the end of 2010 ) and Opera 10.5 has similar UI such opening new tab.

it came with windows update.
useless,already unistalled in my FF. Version 1.0 unfortunately can't be uninstalled. Go to moz add on, install version 1.1.
after that, you can uninstall it and all is gone away...

Recently (about two weeks) I've been getting 1-2 Winsock errors a day. These let me stay on internet mediums such as IRC, AIM, MSN and other things that don't need a web page to load for them to work, but it requires that I either log out or restart to fix them.
In terms of fixing it more permentantly, I've tried scanning for virii/spyware, no results found. Tried a rootkit detector, no results found. Tried using a microsoft FixIt tool, which didn't work and a Winsockfixer tool off of CNET.
Does anyone have any ides what might be causing these errors, or, how to fix it? Its very annoying as a lot of what I do involves loading web pages.
do you have SAS installed ? if yes, go to Preferences > Repair tab > scroll down and find Winsock repair

I noticed this problem yesterday and very annoying in my old PC.
I tried to saving my document. Go to File > Save > save in then hanged in drop down menu. It took time so long !
this occured in Word,Excel & Powerpoint.
any suggestions ?

did you mean Web Clip ?
if yes, go to Setting >Web Clip. It should be checked.
