  1. abu aufa --- affordable is not $650 for a phone. That is ridiculous. I know the Nokia N96 is feature packed, but that's insane. iPhone's and the T-Mobile G1 are much cheaper if buy them with a plan. If you don't need a data/smartphone. I have the Motorola RAZR2 V8, under a T-Mobile family plan. ~Motorola RAZR2 Website ~ It is a good all around phone - inexpensive, good looking, feature packed, and still pretty new. (I was just looking, and I swore that AT&T had a newer version of it, but the closest one is the Motorola MOTOZ9, but it is a slider. My friend has it and I like it.)

Ironically enough, I hated T-Mobile in Connecticut, well at least near my house, but up at school in New York state, my service is a lot better. If the network was better (3G coverage), and I had the money for the data plan, I'd get the G1 in a heart beat.

    Nokia Fan :P:lol:

  2. A-squard = false positive crazy, I would stay away.

I gave up on adaware years ago. You would probably get better real time protection from window defender.

I've been thinking to switch A-Squared with SAS (with real time prot) and stay with Ad-Aware ;)

  3. SpywareBlaster and SUPERAntispyware both have an option to restrict IE's homepage from being change but do they work well together?

    SpywareBlaster:

Tools - Misc IE. Settings - IE Restrictions

    SUPERAnti-Spyware:

Preferences - Hi-Jack Protection - Home Page Protection

*I am a new user of SUPERAntiSpyware :(

They worked well in my machine.

  4. I tried IE8 just now for the first time and I hate it.

    1. They still wont let me put individual buttons where I want them. Unacceptable every other browser lets me do this.

    2. It keeps telling me my search box is corrupted whenever I change it to google.(wtf?)

    3. Noticeably slower than firefox.

4.Slooow , featureless and isn't really better than previous version you-fool-038.gif

    5.Try harder next time, IE8 wave 1 ,wave 2 , 9, 10 ...whatever

I have skied many times at Mont Tremblant and have many good memories about it as that is where I learned to ski.

The ski instructor that I had was Swiss if I remember and on the last day we had a lunch a the top in the restaurant with hot chocolate, baguettes and cheese accompanied with what he called "Turn oil" that was wine that loosened us up and made us able to turn easier.

    RIP free-sad-smileys-730[1].gif

  7. What now. I have been two weeks trying to get my documents back after a blue screen crash. To make matters worse I had a disc with some of the files saved on it and accidentally erased that!!! I found many of the files but when I try to recover them I get the following message: the volume does not contain recognized file system, please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted. I tried selecting just the files from the disk that I erased last night and received the same message. Shouldn't I be able to at least recover those that I opened from that disk last night? Any ideas......really my brain hurts-Thanks

    Hello Mona28Lisa,Welcome ;)

    Have you read this http://docs.piriform.com/recuva/using-recu...formatted-disks

  8. The files in one folder of my USB flash drive are gone although the folder is still there. I didn't delete the files. How could these files disappear? Earlier in the day, the tech guy was showing me something else on the drive and afterward he pulled the drive out without ejecting. And then I worked on a file in the folder at a different computer. I am pretty sure I ejected the drive before pulling it off after working on one of the files in that folder and saving the file. But the next day, all the files in that one folder were gone from the drive. How could this have happened?

Maybe that file corrupted / broken ;)
