I'll probably start doing AV tests as soon as Comodo fixes up Time Machine. When they've done that and I have it installed, then I'll do AV tests.

i have 3, (ff)
I've only got three extensions as well. I haven't noticed any browser slowdowns though.

Don't really know. I do know that it's a pretty useful utility, and I use it all the time now.

Glad to help!

I'd be curious to see how their free Panda Cloud Antivirus does.
Me too!

This seems like a great alternative to all the programs you guys have been talking about in this topic. Plus, it's completely free!

No offense Corona, but that came across as pretty harsh, especially for you. Has it crossed my mind? Yeah - but it did so in a "I hope he didn't die" kind of way.

Ok, thanks. I'll install Returnil on both computers then.
-
No problem. As a matter of fact, I'm using Glide right now too.

Hi Dennis, I've got another Returnil question for you:
I've already decided to install this on my current computer that I'm using right now, but around how much RAM does Returnil use (to see if I can run Returnil on my old computer as well).
By the way Login, isn't VirtualBox an operating system virtualization program, and not a program like Returnil and Powershadow where you can just activate it and after computer restart everything is gone?

Fixed the problem my self without having to mess with the registry. I've been playing around with my system's icons lately with IconTweaker, and I realized that IconTweaker must've been the program that removed my little shortcut icon, and caused the problem. So I reinstalled IconTweaker, then checked the box to remove the shortcut overlay icons, clicked OK, and then unchecked the box and then pressed OK again. That made my shortcut overlay icons appear, and now my problem is fixed. Thanks for all of your help guys!

looks like a scene from Crysis
That's what I was about to say too. It kind of seems like the beach where they first land after jumping off the plane.

Actually, I'm learning how to work with registry entries in GeeksToGo upperclass at the moment, so I'll probably be comfortable enough to edit the registry soon enough.
-
Okay, from your quick review of the 2010 version right there, and the unrecoverable BSOD, I don't think I'll try the 2010 version. And yes, it still does come with a built in AV. No wonder it seemed unusual that the 2008 Returnil download was only about 3 megs., while the new 2010 download is almost 30 megs.

Thanks for the link Hazel. The answer was indeed in the last post. The user gave this link which contains the answer: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/dupcontexts.htm It tells me that to fix it, I need to create a registry entry called IsShortcut, but I'm not too comfortable with editing the registry at the moment so... I'm kind of stuck...

Yeah, Imgur is also my favorite image hosting site. Made a post on it last year: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=142302 I think this extension for Google Chrome is similar to the extension you mentioned: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail...gepdkjecopegkag Not sure if it works though, as I haven't tried it out yet.
Btw Dennis, this is way off topic, but if I were to use Returnil, what version of it would you suggest I use? The version you have in your signature or the latest 2010 version?
