OOPS! my bad I thought that you were someone else. Their was another guy here who was asking for recommendations for his site. Just to prove I'm not full of crap:

I did think of something cool though. Maybe you should talk about tweaking Firefox. Not just things like Chromedit (check out Tarun's site If you have no clue what I'm talking about) but things like what is the best configuration for the "tweak networks settings" extension, or what the best extensions. If this is something you have no interest in nevermind, but it was just an idea. Sorry for the mix up.

Havent read it all yet but the programs that you recommend now are much better. I think you said before that it was for friends, maybe you should also suggest free AV's like Avast and AVG, and firewalls like Zone Alarm and Sygate for the complete security. Also take a look at our free ware section and you could find some more great apps. http://forum.CCleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1224

You'll must have been lucky with the registry cleaner. Because I used regseeker once on a win 98 se machine and I had to reinstall windows. Now the only program I let touch my registry is the CCleaner.

If i run a bittorrent client for any mount of time my pc just does not sutdown even if i close the app first.
After you close the application look at the processes (ctr+alt+del) and see if it really closed or if something is running that shouldnt be. Also I know you said you tried other programs but check out http://azureus.sourceforge.net/.

Speaking of cleaning your desktop. Let's have you, Eldmannen, delete your browsers.
Is burning this guy ever going to get old?

I personally can't tell the difference, and I listened over and over again, but then I am not an audiophile to any extent, although I do love music, I listen to music for 11 hours a day on weekdays and a few hours at the weekend.
If there was any real difference, I am sure it would not be noticable on an mp3 player, after all we are talking about music that is listened to through earphones, rather than speakers on a good stereo system, such as I own, or on a computer with good sound qualities.
I have never really been one to rate mp3 players too much, I prefer the iPod.
I know what you mean, I was mostly talking about fuzziness or crackling sounds.
-
Ok, I have a question CaPMan. When you converted that song to wma could you tell a differance in sound quality?
-
oli why would you want to use wma instead of mp3?
-
Yes, It does it to keep people from voting more than once.

Agumon tell your friend about the free microsoft offer for one year free of Computer Associates EZ antivirus. It is very good and it will save him some money. The link is:

I would go with 2005 just because it would be the most updated. But look here because Norton 2002 apparently can beinstalled repeatedly without paying for new licenses. Just something to consider.

Look here for a price comparison just specify what you want and it will do the rest. I dont know about anyone else but those new IBM think pads look great. Small, light, great battery life.

It all depends on two things.
1. what you are going to use it for.
2. who much you are willing to spend.
