Even if the preloader works we will still have to figure out how to get thunderbird working and whatever that is will probably fix FF too.

I am not able to download the Anti Malware program, I am still getting the same error message as I mentioned before.
( I cant post the actual window but this is the message in a box.
at the top it says
C: DOcuments & Settings\Administrator \Desktop
Big RED X then says Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them.
Any suggestions on how I can get this program Anti-Malware Package?

You can get rid of it, I uninstalled it along time ago because it would run every time I opened Outlook. Wait for what others think though just in case.

Try using the firefox preloader and see if it will load up after a reboot.

I think CCleaner is better than all of those programs you listed. easy cleaner can do all of the things CCleaner does and more but It can also harm your pc with things such as the registry cleaner and duplicate file cleaner. I have never used cyberscrub or eraser but they probably do about the same thing. I would stick with CCleaner and abandon the others if you want to be 100% problem free.

truth be told, we're pretty close (friendship) with our neighbours, but the problem is i don't know where the signal is coming from. it works in three rooms of my house, two on one side of our house and the other upstairs on the other side, so i have no idea where its coming from. If i knew who's signal it was i would ask them about it, actually i would show them how to encrypt it so this wouldn't happen from someone else (someone who doesn't take their speed into consideration).
as far as distance usually goes, i've heard up to three outer walls, and up to two house laterally away. It isn't just pure distance which interferes with the signal, but physical obsticals aswell.

No, I guess if you neighbors wouldnt care than its ok. Sounds like TM is right though just make sure your configurations havent changed.

I think its pretty low to steal your neighbors connection.
I have a question for you though I have a linksys router as well (its encrypted and you have to know the password) but I'm curious how far the connection will go. How far are you away from your neighbors router?

When i try to check my disk for errors (Check Disk) i get a message that says the disk is being used exclusivly... I dont understand, neither microsofts or Nortons works because of this error message. I am trying to check the hardrive i am running my OS on... Also as a side note, why do many people think Norton 2005 AntiVirus is a P.O.S.?? I find the System Works as a very usefull program.
Cant fix your problem but as to why norton sucks read this thread:

did i do that? if so where, i can't see it, and while we're on the issue of security, is there anyharm in showing a Hijackthis log on here, like showing any "private" info to other users?

firefox preloader keeps FF loaded in the memory, same things as the mozilla quick start or netscape quick start. I figured it might help FF load up, but DJ says no. Oh well It cant hurt though (It makes FF start up a lot faster too).
