Ladies and gentlemen we have genius in the house. But what the hell is the point in paying for something that will save you 3 seconds when logging in then save you from activating your screen saver to come on after 1 min? or clicking the log off button?

Not a clue then it has never happened to me as far as I remember but then I do have a bad short memory(what am I replying to? ). Have you tried to clean install firefox delete your profile folder etc, then again why a problem its not that big to do all that so forget it .

What browser are you using? Also are you sure the cookie is actual on your pc, just in case you don't know how to view cookies do the following. In Internet Explorer click tools, Internet Options, settings & then view files and see if the cookie you want is actual there. For Firefox click tools, options, privacy then click cookies and then view cookies and again see if the cookie is actualy there.

Nope just clean it and back it up when CCleaner asks you, then any probs simply restore the registry be clicking the backup file.

I'm with DjLizard on this one DVD Shrink is my fav. But for just 1to1 backup i would use DVD Decrypter. Also as DVD Decrypter is another great app from the UK you can not not love it .

Thanks for the help corjello, I did not buy all my memory it came from as follows, 512mb came from my old dell, I bought 512mb when I built my pc & 2 of my m8s built there own pc and bought new ram so they had no need for the other 2 sticks I got from them . Also I'm not that eager to spend ? its just I just built my new pc and I still have money left over from which I put to one side to do so so I was just wondering if any speed increase was available from my question on my previous post. Here you go m8, browse to the folder in which you installed CCleaner open a file called winapp2.ini browse to the bottom and simply paste the below code. If you have any other question about how to do it just ask. I will more then likely make additions to it as I find more rubbish the app creates. Hay I was thinking last week how we could promote CCleaner and one of the ideas was to bombard ClickOnline with "Hay I know this great little app that you may want to mention", and hay bobs your uncle there it is. I watched ClickOnline last week but there was no mention Of CCleaner so I would have thought it will be on Tv this Sunday coming.

Does anyone else use PeerGuardian and is there any point, I mean does it actualy work?

If you had a choice(as I have ) would you go for 2Gb of slow crappy memory from a 3 year old dell or 1 stick of the latest fastest 1Gb memory stick?

Maybe a long shot but the problem I mentioned above has been happening for some time now since then I have changed all of my apps to open source or at least free alternative so I would have thought it is not software related. Could It tho be hardware related my last pc was a crappy bought dell but since then I have learnt from my ways and built my own pc. I bought a new case, motherboard, graphics card etc but I kept the memory from the dell and just added 2 more 512Mbs sticks. I have not got the foggiest how memory works but could it be that something my bittorrent client is putting in the memory and it is not clearing when I shut down?

I emailed a company who make Event Log Explorer about how we can clean the event log using CCleaner and this is the reply. Does this help because it does not mean nothing to me . "Hello, AFAIK CCleaner cannot clear event logs. There is no keys in the registry or files that can be removed. If you try to tune up CCleaner to remove some registry keys related to Event Logs, it may entail system fault on next reboot. The only way to clear logs is to call programmatically several Windows API functions (Both our software and Event Viewer do exactly that)."

I think ill stick to the about:config code because it is easy to set-up, and very effective.

I sent a private message to MrG with the new Spybot addition about 3 days ago so hopefully he will add it to the next version. Also In my original post a couple of days a go I did detail better instructions of how to add it to winapp.ini but TwistedMetal deleted the post because I forgot to put .ini instead I put .in so he deleted it. I could then not be bothered to rewrite all the instructions again, I will do next time .
