I've noticed a few posts regarding bugs in the current version, so to keep everyone happy I'm going to release a new version next week. With this and a few other things fixed. It will be a sort of interim build, so won't have as many changes as usual. I'll post the change log once it's ready. MrG

Did someone call my name? I'm currently not planning to translate the website into another language, as it's hard enough to manage the 28 or so application translations. What I might do is once I've redone the help section, offer that to be translated in a Wiki type way. MrG

That's strange I'm using Windows Defender on my development machine and it hasn't interferred with any downloads before. The next release is going to be digitally signed so that may help the situation. But I'll run a few tests.

Having looked at the issue I agree that the $hf_mig$ folder should not be removed with the hotfix uninstallers, so I've adjusted the code for the next release. Great work!

I do read the forums. I've been busy working on an upcoming project, so apologies for not having had much chance to reply. I should have more time next week when I'll reply to the posts and review all the bugs and fixes. MrG

This looks very strange - those entries are part of CCleaner. I'd suggest fully uninstalling and then reinstalling using a version from the site.

Users of Antivir may notice that installing the latest beta version causes a virus alert. This is a false alert and CCleaner is completely virus free. We've contacted the Antivir virus team and hope to come to a resolution shortly. MrG

Hi all, Please note that as mentioned in the announcement - once out of beta we will be creating a compact installer without the toolbar. We're aware that people will use and not use certain features we add, so we aim to make as many features optional as possible, and if this requires multiple builds of the installer then so be it. Although some people like toolbars and browser integration, there are the hardcore few who don't, and we're trying to do the difficult task of keeping those and everyone else happy. We're striving to create product(s) that have the features people want, and we're aiming to do this through the help of this forum. So thanks to everyone here! MrG P.S. Don't worry on the normal install there will be an option not to install the toolbar.

We've decided to release a beta 2 version, just for a few days until the final version is out. This version has updated translations for the secure deletions in most languages, (a few are still pending.) Plus optimizations to the secure deletion algorithms. It also has optional IE integration, through a custom version of the Yahoo toolbar. Once out of beta, hopefully later this week, I'll create some often requested different versions of the installer. One without the toolbar for system admins and fans of minimilist apps, and a couple of others. Keep an eye on the beta page http://www.ccleaner.com/beta for the download. MrG

Just to clear up a few progress bar questions. With the Cleaner function, the progress bar will continue to the end and then restart, it's purely a way to show you something is happening. I'm aware it's a slightly non-standard way to do things, but to have a proper 0 to 100% progress bar would slow down the cleaning a lot. I'm going to look into restyling the way it displays. With the Issues function it operates as a normal progress bar.

I'll email you the resource file once the beta version has been tested. So you can edit any old/new strings.

This is very simple, replace the LangSecRef=3028 with Section=Security (New version is coming out v shortly, just making sure it works perfectly! )
