Moderators Andavari Posted November 23, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2006 I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed a sort of strange behaviour in AVG Free Anti-Virus v7.5 which is: As soon as the computer is started AVG loads an Automatic Update window, yet is unable to download any updates. Subsequently canceling the Automatic Update window and then performing a manual update finds and downloads the needed update(s) without any problem. It was because of the newest Arovax Shield which was causing not only the AVG updater to hang and be non-responsive it was also effecting other installed applications by making them hang such as WinRAR when adding files to an archive, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MajoMo Posted November 25, 2006 Share Posted November 25, 2006 I'm using Arovax Shield and no hang problems with AVG Free Anti-Virus v7.5 and WinRar (with ordinary maneuver). At least until now...
