Moderators rridgely Posted October 3, 2006 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2006 The new avg anti spyware keeps flagging my netveda firewall as spyware and trying to remove it. nothing else i use detects the netveda. must be a flaw? Yeah it must be just a false positive. I don't have netveda installed on my computer at the moment because I was trying the new comodo(its ok but I liked netveda better). It didn't flag the installer for netveda when I just now scanned it. I guess you could report it to them as a false positive.
New_Age
Came to me... What would happen if AVG decided to combine the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs? Probably a stupid Idea but just a thought. They might do that later on in the future though. JDPower
Well, to me I don't see how AVG created such a good Anti-Spyware program while the Anti-Virus program was poorly designed. Was that sarcasm? The anti-spyware program is still Ewido, just rebranded and with a few enhancements (from Ewido AFAIK). As for AVG AV I've never had any problems with it. Admittedly they went through a brief phase where update servers were slow/non-responsive but its been fine since, and most importantly I've never been infected with a virus as long as I've used it. TeeJay3800
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but after reading the positive reviews here I decided to try it out. I think it's my new favorite! I'd still like to read a review by CNET or similar just to see what they think. Dell Latitude D600 Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1
