Ubwanted and Undeletble Avast VPN

I never thought a file from CCleaner would also infect my computer with this very crappy VPN from Avast that I never was given the chance to opt out of nor anywhere to find out how to clean my CCleaner. This damn VPN interrupts my real VPN that I looked for and found by refusing to load web pages and frankly, I suspect that i9t's directly used to steal my data and browsing habits to sell to any toothless hillbilly with enough money to invade the privacy of your users. Tell me precisely how to completely delete all traces of this ignorance or there's many other apps that do the same type of protection without having t6o worry about allowing spies to infect my system. That's not a threat, just reality.

I appreciate the assistance.  Problem is, as the two screenshots show, I have no menu item for Apps and Features nor do I find it as an app option.  So I'm not sure what my next steps should be.

Try opening Windows Taskmanager and finding the Avast VPN in the list. Right click on the name and select 'open file location' which might give some idea of where it is keeping itself.

Otherwise you could try something such as Revo Uninstaller.

If you have already uninstalled it using Windows (or CCleaner) then it will no longer show in your apps list, - but the Windows uninstall obviously left things behind.

In such cases you can try a couple of things:

1. Use the apps own removal tool anyway to see if it will find/clean up the leftovers.
   (You seem to have already tried that with no success?)
2. Reinstall the ofending app, in this case the Avast VPN, and then use the Avast VPN Removal tool to do a fuller uninstall than Windows did.

 

As Hazelnut says another option is to try Revo uninstaller.
If the app has already been partially uninstalled then you will usually need to use Revo's "Forced Uninstall" option to remove the leftovers.
Forced Uninstall is a Pro feature, but you could use a Pro trial of Revo to use it for a one off job like this.

Or similar to #2 above, install Revo Free, reinstall Avast VPN, uninstall it using Revo.
