  1. Every single time that Windows updates it deletes all of my settings on Kamo. Suddenly, I have the full suite of browsers I have to choose from and all are shown as OFF (I only have Firefox and, as much as I despise it, Edge on the HD). I have to reset everything. Is there something I keep missing? Once I've set it up again, it works great until the next Windows update. Any idea how to stop this from happening. If the update happens overnight or when I'm not at the computer then there's no way to tell there's a problem until I open Kamo for some other reason.
  2. Having an issue I wanted to inquire about but clicking on Support from Kamo brings me to this page - Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to support.piriform.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Learn more… Is this a Kamo issue or a problem at my end?
  3. Great information. I'll look into the OSs you listed. Thank you so much for the detailed answer. Couldn't ask for more.
  4. I'm always trying to minimize any unnecessary connections with MS or any of the useless so-called "social media" that are only vacuums for your personal information (and, in TikTok's case, a direct line to China's vacuum). That said, what sort of programs use IE and can I redirect them to a different file or program that isn't connected to IE. I apparently can't delete IE since it doesn't appear in my Apps & Features nor my Default Apps. I know that my paranoia about these sites and programs are always at a far higher level than most users but I do not believe that anyone, anywhere, offer anyone any absolute online safety, Since it's a huge cash generator it should be strictly regulated by laws that allow anyone to opt into this crap rather than try to opt out in site after site. California almost got it right to force sites to offer the option to opt out but they left huge holes for any site than claims to be a charity or is in any way connected to the government of the state. Okay, rant about who owns my personal information is over.
  5. When I clean my system with CCleaner I still see Internet Explorer files (usually two files but up to 12 or so) that must be cleaned even though MS claimed to have discontinued the program. I also continue to show Internet Explorer in my Program Files. When I clean my browsers with KAMO there is no option to clean IE any longer. If IE is still soiling my system and reporting my browser activity back to Microsoft through IE then how can I clean that without an option to do so? Is there a way to simply remove Internet Explorer or at least get the KAMO option back to clear it along with Firefox and Edge?
  6. Great response. Fairly simple to follow. All of the background permissions have been changed save for the few that are necessary but little or nothing from MS.
  7. I did the cleaning and Edge has even more files it won't clean. See attachment #2
  8. A few times in the last two weeks or so, when I get an analysis it shows that CCleaner refuses to put the crap that Chromium adds to itself on the list to clean. (See attachment) I NEVER use any of MS's programs or browsers so why does their browsers have cookies and internet cache and other files? And why the hell can't I get that crap overwritten? All MS products have the primary purpose of stealing everyone's personal information and what it is used for (Word or whatever) is secondary. How can I get CCleaner to get rid of these files?
  9. Ah. Well, I'd love to have both the Private Connection and my VPN but I understand why it does what it does, now. Thanks.
  10. I remember a while back that Kamo had a new beta feature called Private Connection. There was even a notice on the page about it being beta. Now it's apparently live and I'd love to use it but it keeps disconnecting. I'll click on it to activate it then, when I go to any page within Kamo or web sites it immediately shows "off". I also have a VPN that automatically loads on browser start up. Since the VPN connects me to (in this case) the San Francisco server each time but the Private Connection hides my location using a different location as my origination IP, could this be the issue for the disconnect? The FAQs offered no solution. I surely hope this made sense.
  11. I have no idea, then, how I downloaded the files to my phone. I'll get in and delete what I have since it's useless. I appreciate the quick response and understandable answer. Good day to you.
  12. I bought CCleaner for my Samsung and, somehow at the time, was also able to download Kamo, as well. Now Kamo for Android isn't in the Galaxy Store nor on the CCleaner site and the icon on the phone that it had added has disappeared. I have the *exe files for Kamo on my phone but clicking on it brings up a message that says I need a separate app to open it but not which one. I deeply value Kamo's role in keeping my PC activity private (as everyone's activities should be as default). I have the same anti-virus as my PC and that has caught a few things and CCleaner cleans very well what I don't want on the phone forever. Does Kamo work on Android or was it recalled for some issues? Do I need the separate app to open Kamo and, if so, any idea which it might be? Is there a forum for Kamo? I only see help files and the like. Sorry for going on and on but wanted to be, at least, less confusing than it is in my head.
  13. I have my CCleaner set to erase nearly all listed files since, well, since they just annoy me. On Edge and IE there's an option to clean the password files. My, probably, stupid question is this; Will adding the password files in Edge and IE to be deleted each cleaning going to affect the passwords in Firefox which I want to keep and is unchecked. I really hope this made sense.
  14. I clean my browsers maybe 6-7 times a day with CCLEANER & Kamo since I prefer to have them with as little recorded activity as possible. On the "Keep Your Browsers Clean" page, since I have zero control over getting rid of Microsoft's scam-rich and privacy stealing browsers, I clean all three every time (Firefox, Edge and IE) which takes me maybe 30 seconds each time to click on the 3 buttons individually which adds up to 3 or so minutes every day. That's 3 or so minutes I could be working towards my PhD (or maybe my GED) or to learn Klingon or discovering cures for common childhood diseases. Just adding a "Clean All" button at the top that checks all three browsers will save all that wasted time. If my education or my desire to learn an alien language and culture aren't enough of a reason, then THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
  15. Going back over my questions and comments and it seems like I acted like a jerk. What I said about tech support was unnecessary and not what I expect from myself. You've all given nothing but help and for that I truly thank you.
  16. Thank you. I think I'll just close the program for now then. I'll just keep looking for the next update.
  17. I was advised to start a new question in hopes of finding a solution to this. Has this been escalated to the programmers? It worked great before all this began. I'd love it to work again. May need to delete as it just keeps repeating over and over.
  18. Hi again, My issue was sent to Manila (apparently who CCleaner employs rather than qualified Americans) and they suggested deleting both CCleaner and Kamo and then download and reinstall. This worked great and the notifications ceased for two days. Now it's back and appearing every 1-2 minutes but now keeps the counter growing by one attempt each time. I can't find the email from Manila (must have deleted that when their suggestions worked) or I would get back in touch with the tech. Any ideas or anyone know how to move this back to Manila?
  19. Thanks for pointing that out. I don't know why my mind didn't make the connection. In any event, the version is 3.0.280.504. I have it set up to install updates automatically in the background. Which logs would you need?
  20. Where do I find the Version# in Kamo? I've looked everywhere someone who barely understands can think of. Which log files do you need? I have CCleaner set to clean out the Windows logs for security (MS is a data sponge regardless of privacy settings) but if it's Kamo's logs I never touch those.
  21. I'm on Win10 (version checked today) and CCleaner Pro with Kamo. I have the notifications set to every 100 events but suddenly it's sending the notifications every single time it blocks a tracker. I checked all of the settings but, other than choosing the 100 setting which now does nothing, nothing seems to slow it down. It started at exactly 800 and now it's at 883 attempts blocked and counting. Any idea how to stop this? It's a pain since it needs to be closed every time. Thanks.
