DMK_Roslindale
Acer Aspire 5 A515-57T-53VS 12GB Memory Laptop OS Edition Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 Installed on 8/26/2023 OS build 22621.2428 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22674.1000.0 Speccy 1.32.0.803 Just set up a new laptop and downloaded and installed a current version of Speccy to check operating temps from time to time if the fan spins up. However, Speccy is not reporting little on this model laptop for temperatures in the summary screen. It seems to be reporting it when each item is clicked, but still some items seem to be missing? The primary storage is SSD By any chance does this model Acer not have temp sensors that can be accessed, or what? Curious. I used this on my Win10 with great results. Moderators Nergal Posted October 17, 2023 Moderators Share Posted October 17, 2023 It may be that there are no sensors, but it could also be speccy has not been updated by the developers in a VERY long time. It may just not be up to reading on a new pc. These are my opinions and not those of the ccleaner team, who still maintain that speccy is viable. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted October 17, 2023 Moderators Share Posted October 17, 2023 A laptop is going to have sensors, i.e.; temp sensors, etc.! The problem is Speccy's age and the lack of support for modern hardware. Try something that's updated very regularly to support modern hardware such as (both are free) HWiNFO or HWiNFO Portable.
