jcwCT
I had this same issue a few years back, but I don't recall how to fix it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling using a fresh download -- no difference. Suggestions?
Moderators nukecad Posted April 22, 2023 Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2023 From your screenshot Health Check has found an update for an application that you have on your machine, and has told Windows to install the update. That message says that Windows is trying to update the app but is asking for a command option that hasn't been given for some reason. Unfortunately it doesn't say there just which app it is trying to update, but you can find out easily enough. In CCleaner go to Tools>Software Updater and under 'Programs to Update' it should tell you what application it is that CCleaner is finding to be updated. It should tell you the application name, what version you have installed, and what update version it has found. You can then update the app from within the application itself. Once it's been updated then Health Check will stop telling Windows to update it. Please let us know which app it is that Software Updater finds, along with the version numbers - so that we can point it out to the developers to be looked at and fixed. PS. Another option is to always use Custom Clean and not Health Check - Custom Clean does not do an automatic check for software updates, that's what the seperate Software Updater is there for. (Note that Health Check in the Free version doesn't do the automatic check either, it's only automatic in Pro). You can set CCleaner to always show you Custom Clean instead of Health Check, OPtions>Settings>CCleaner Home Screen. PPS. If you go offline before running Health Check in Pro then it can't try to automatically update anything either; because it isn't connected to the web to check for updates. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? jcwCT
Many thanks, nukecad. The two programs requiring an update were the Zoom Outlook Plugin and the Zoom Client 64-bit. As soon as they were updated, no more pop up window.
