Historically have problem with Macbook - garbage in bin, but Ccleaner doesn't even recognize it. To be very clear and dispute the canned claim "it's almost always corrupt trash" - There is no problem with bin, i.e. it NOT corrupt - not EVER been corrupt, but alas here's the average: Ccleaner actually recognizes & empties trash maybe one out of five uses. Doesn't matter if there's a little trash or a lot, for the last few years I've had Ccleaner - I can reliably expect it won't clean out the trash; it's a surprise when it does.

Actually that's true, for windows machines. You, however, have a Mac and thus that answer does not apply.

Sadly we have few mac owners on this user forum, so i don't know what the answer is.

[s]I've moved your thread to the mac sectionbof the forum.[/s]

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
