Siddharth Rout
I have the professional version of CCleaner. I am facing two problems 1. If I disable an entry and close CCleaner, it doesn't remain disabled. If I close and restart CCleaner, the entry is enabled. 2. I am not above to delete an entry. it says file not found. But I can see the file by right clicking on it and selecting "Open Containing Folder". This post is not letting me upload a file (Error 200). Moderators Nergal Posted March 6, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 6, 2020 What anti malware are you running, maybe it's 'protecting' you. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Siddharth Rout
Thank you for replying. I am using Norton Antivirus and have been using for 14 years.. Never faced this problem with the free version of CCleaner. I recently bought the professional version and this problem started. For this post sake, I disabled Norton. But still same problem. Siddharth Rout
Still not sorted, Manually deleted those items from the startup. For any future visitors, here is what I did. To remove a shortcut from the Startup folder: Press Win-r. In the "Open:" field, type: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp Press Enter. Right-click the program you don't want to open at startup and click Delete. It's a pity I had to ask for a refund. I really loved this application. Moderators hazelnut Posted March 11, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 11, 2020 I see your item was on a different drive. Does it delete it if you move it to start ups on C drive?
