mindstormer Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I know that on modern computers, defragmenting on a frequent basis (perhaps even once a month can be considered frequent even if you have many files) will do little to optimize your computer. Still, it's something that can be done without much effort. I was wondering if Contig, which claims that it can defragment areas of the drive where it is frequently fragmented (and that not many defragmenters have the algorithm to handle this) would help in addition to Defraggler. If so, do I just run Defraggler first and then Contig? Is there anything that Contig can do that the Defraggler cannot? Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You will not know which forum to complain to when a critical system file gets bent out of shape.
