Other Cleaning Programs

Marok

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums here as you can tell but I've been using CCleaner for years. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some more registry/cleaning programs that get a long nicely. Right now I'm just using CCleaner, Revo, and Defraggler.

Thanks

As this is the ccleaner forum it's not really the place to discuss other competitors cleaning programs. Apart from that, you may want to consider the fact that too much cleaning of the registry in particular can lead to problems.

Apart from that can I welcome you to the forums :)

Welcome to the forum Marok. I've used CCleaner for many years and find it does an amazing job. I feel the same about Defraggler. Regarding cleaning your registry, unless you're a really experienced user I would do like Hazel suggests - i.e. don't clean your registry too much. Using CCleaner for that task is your best bet.

i would say ccleaner is by far the safest cleaner out there.ive used it for years and never once had any problems.other cleaners notably registry cleaners can hose your system on the next reboot.dangerous programs in my opinion and pure snake oil.

online armor firewall.

Avast free anti virus.

Malwarebytes .

SuperAntiSpyware.

Hitman Pro.

Sandboxie.

+1 to hazels opinion above.

Although I will suggest that you're far better off sticking to one cleaning program, and getting to know that program, and what it does for you exactly.

CCleaner has a lot of useful features well worth learning about, and there are help files available here ...

And if you want to try other cleaners, then you're better off using their product support forums, and I don't mean that to sound rude, just trying to offer sensible advice. :)

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
