zjas Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Can anyone tell me why CCleaner is stuck trying to clean Chrome internet history? It starts with cleaning IE9 ok, but gets stuck at 50% doing Chrome internet history. Sometimes it completes, but usually it just sits there for several minutes doing (apparently nothing) I am running: IE9 9.0.8112.16421 Chrome 16.0.891.0 dev-m Chrome 16.0.896.0 canary and sometimes Firefox 6.0.2 Would appreciate any help or resolution - Thanks! Moderators Nergal Posted October 3, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2011 Be sure to look on the second tab of task manager called "processes" also look there for "plugincontainer" do you have google sync or google cloud print (whatever they are called)? niether of these close when you exit chrome. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
