Moderators Nergal Posted October 8, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 8, 2010 ah good point what needs fixing 1) you don't want anything deleted (if so follow Winapp2's advice above) or 2) you like that everything is deleted but want saved form info deleted ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. boganbill
chrome 8.0.522.5 ccc 2.36.1233 xp3 mse antivirus ccc fails to clean chrome cache in recent versions- this was done before- can be cleaned via chrome options, but this is no longer a one step solution and only realised when trying to find recent downloaded files- have used ccleaner for years. boganbill
chrome 8.0.522.5 ccc 2.36.1233 xp3 mse antivirus ccc fails to clean chrome cache in recent versions- sorry forgot to include the fact that a number of chrome.exe processes still run after chrome closed - this in itself prevents ccc from deleting chrome files- still looking for a one click solution. More often than not the not closing is due to a poorly constructed Addon or theme. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. More often than not the not closing is due to a poorly constructed Addon or theme. Chrome atill running after exiting fixed with new version - Chrome 9.0.587.0 dev - ( I assume this corrected the problem!) CCC now deletes Chrome Cache on my machine Thanks
