yowan
Will there be any native 64-bit version of CCleaner?
Moderators Nergal Posted January 8, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2010 not much reason for ccleaner to be 64bit IMHO ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. yowan
64-bit would run much faster
marmite
I doubt it. Some apps (or more particularly certain types of apps) run much quicker as 64-bit, others less so. Much of CCleaner's activity is disk I/O.
KevinH
I second a 64bit version. It only has access to the 32 bit portion of the Registry. Just as another fav app of mine Revo Uni9nstaller can only uninstall 32 bit programs and does not see the 64 bit programs installed.
yowan
not much reason for ccleaner to be 64bit IMHO Recuva and Defraggler already have 64-bit versions, why not CCleaner ?, it would be faster
