Stephen
I recently switched from Office Home and Student 2007 to Office Ultimate 2007. My computer now takes 25 to 30 seconds longer to bootup. Is this to be expected? Is there anything I can do to spped things up?
ePost
What OS have you? Defraggler is an obvious thing to suggest but also Microsoft's free online scanner could be useful. It is very good at cleaning Office crab files. Go for a full scan. Note that there's a special link for Vista/Windows 7. And please tell us how you liked it. I'm a fan of it but would like to hear what others think. Icedrake
Me too. I'm using the Enterprise 2007 version, and I love mine. I haven't noticed any slowdowns on my computer.
ePost
Perhaps this has to do with leftovers from the first version. How did you uninstall the old office stuff, Stephen? I went to the Control Panel and uninstalled the other version, then ran the registry cleaner in CCleaner.

Well, yes the free online scanner does install a small support program in order to run. But there are some redirect issues that occur when a user needs to change the language. In some countries people are sent to the old site where they used to sell some OneCare programs. I hope this isn't what happened to you? JessicaD
Stephen, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum located here tinyurl link removed by moderator. It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback. Icedrake
Yeah that would be better since I don't trust links that have been shortened from things like TinyUrl. Makes me suspicious.
