login123
TCPView from sysinternals shows that Yahoo! email opens up a huge number of "endpoints". Maximum observed number so far is 292. 200 is not uncommon. Most are classified as "Close Wait:". No apparent harm being done, just slow. Sometimes the send button or the delete button opens a little box that says "Loading", then the box closes, and nothing else happens. Nothing deleted, mail not sent. If you click "Send" twice the mail gets sent twice, sometimes. Sometimes clicking on one of the radio buttons just doesn't do anything. Sometimes it is necessary to go back to "Check Mail" and start again. ESET online, Avast! and MBAM say this system is clean. Anyone know whats up with that? Other email services don't do it. To be fair, I contacted the email help about a different issue and they were prompt and helpful. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. fireryone
Try from another pc if possible to verify its not just a yahoo site glitch/issue... fireryone
Moderators Andavari Posted September 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2009 Have you tried in a different browser to rule that out? Could be a host of many things though such as some Yahoo server blocked by the browser ad blocker, HOSTS file, etc.

login123
Got firefox up and going, first time to use it, nice browser. Still a lot of endpoints opened by Yahoo, but the response time seems better. I think it has something to do with the recoding going on at Yahoo, not sure. Will live with it for a while. Thanks for the suggestions. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud.
