Icedrake
When I was about to start my SuperAntiSpyware scan, my PC suddenly restarted and I didn't do anything. After my PC restarted, it said "Windows has recovered from a serious error". What just happened?

Icedrake
Um, I don't think so. I didn't get the BSOD, and my PC just restarted.
YoKenny
Go to start then Control Panel then System then Advanced and insure that Automatically restart is not checked in Startup and Recovery Settings. Winapp2.ini
My computer recently crashed too, but as for the BSOD I've never seen it on my XP machine. Used to get it sometimes on windows 95 though I recommend just restoring to the newest restore point prior to the crash :3. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators hazelnut Posted August 13, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2008 IceDrake, follow Kenny'advice. Also have a look in the event viewer -start/control panel/admintools- and have a look in the different catogories to see if anything is listed around that time. If it does happen again and you have followed kenny's instructions, write down the error message and numbers shown before you reboot.
