If i minimalize CCleaner 5.45.6611, it appears like program closed in my taskbar. I have pinned CCleaner. Win 7 64 bit

This version comes with monitoring enabled by default. Athough if I disable it in settings, it still start with my pc and after PC restart, monitoring is enabled again. Also in start items is Ccleaner run. There is no way disable it, if i uncheck it, in not stop second ccleaner process and after restart is enabled again! Even if I remove ccleaner64.exe/monitor from my start list, it will be created again.

After Chrome update to version 66.0.3359.170 I cannot use CCleaner anymore. Previous version of chrome can be damaged by CCleaner but there were workaround (clean temp files by chrome first, then run CCleaner = all ok). But now if I clean by Chrome self first, then run CCleaner = all settings wiped after each run of CCleaner. It is worse and worse, so i had to uncheck all chrome options in CCleaner.

Hello, yes this version is broken. My Chrome settings are wiped. In folder UserData/Default appeared file Preferences.bad (broken settings) and Chrome will create new file Preference. I have found if I clear all my browsing data in chrome and then I run CCleaner, settings are not wiped. So workaround is clear you browsing data inside Chrome first and then run CCleaner. Strange thing is, there is nothing about Chrome cleaning changes in changelog. I am still waiting for emergency fix trough CCleaner emergency updater because this is critical bug. I hope fix arrive soon.

There is no need for system restore, Search index will we rebuilded automaticaly if will be broken or you can rebuild database manually in search index options. The same for V01.log and WebCacheV01.dat (ESENT errors), if they will be broken, system create new one. But of course MS Search in CCleaner should be unticked by default. There is no reason for use this function if you can do this directly in windows without search errors.

Yes you also have Esent erros, that error is here for years and is still not fixed. Btw why u erase your search index, is here any reason for it? It will broke it and trigger additional search errors in event manager, which cause index must be removed and system create new one which uses system resoursces and take long time. You really dont want this after each use of CCleaner.

Slow during cleaning IE or Edge? CCleaner trying delete files used by OS (V01.log and WebCacheV01.dat , both cannot be deleted) which causes slow cleaning and also often trigger ESENT erros in event manager. CCleaner will broke those files.

Hello, IE cleaning sometimes causes multiple esent errors in event manager. CCleaner trying delete V01.log and WebCacheV01.dat which are used by OS and cannot be deleted. Instead of skyping those files, CCleaner will broke those files which trigger esent errors. Is so hard add those files to exclusion list by default? +1 please rollback this change back or give us option disable cleaning summary. Is so annoying cliking more details each time.

Hello, startup items located in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (or RunOnce) is opened by CCleaner in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (or RunOnce). That is strange because regedit show me thad bad adress, in real there is nothing. If i close regedit and open regedit without CCleaner, there is nothing. CCleaner 5.40.6411 Win 7 64 bit

CCupdate is delayed 8 min after boot by default, so it not cause any slowdown.

I have no other errors, no other problems. AV is Avast Free 17.4.2294 but this cannot affect this.

CCleaner sometimes freezes when launch and must be closed by windows, It creating report ID 1002 Application Hang. This happens me from version 5.29 to the latest 5.30. Win 7 64bit. Please fix it.

The same for me, except i never use IE browser or skype, so i dont uderstand how windows create those cache files and history.

Very often happens to me. I run CCleaner and for about 10 seconds cleaner stuck when clean IE history. Older version created windows event error log, but this seems fixed. My version is 5.24.5841, Win 7 x64. It is bug or this happens only me? Thanks

Yes i do backups, but i don't know which key is safe delete and which no. Most time after windows update, CCleaner finds missing shared DLL's to NET.Framework. It is safe to delete? Any issue not apperar after delete those keys. Thanks

You never used registry cleaning or what you think? I think there is no benefit clean registry, only risk. I didn't know that in past. My mistake. But PC run just fine even cleaned by CCleaner.

So registry cleaners should not be used. So i don't understand why its part of that good program.

I am using CCleaner many years and i always used registry cleaner to fix all issues. But i read on the internet all registry cleaners are bad and can damage system. I have never had any problem, so what is true about this? Do you use this cleaner for fix everything registry issues it finds like me? Or i should stop using this feature anymore? Do you notice any problem after using this? I have Win 7 64 bit. Thanks
