There is little point in online speed testing because if you try several different website tests you will find they all say something different. The Internet is way too dynamic for a accurate speed test. I even got one result that said my connection was faster than is actually possible according to what my provider states

I have tried Win Amp a number of times and I like it for the short time it works but my PC does not like it for some reason ??? Now I just use Windows Media Player (11? I forget sorry) and rip all my CDs in lossless format (1 or 2 down from RAW but only your dog would hear the difference) to the external hard drive that deals with all my movies and music. I still use Power DVD from around 2000 - 2002, it works well so no need to replace it with modern versions. They both run well in 5.1 sound and to date I have had no problems, but it is early yet I still don’t know what problem my PC has with Win Amp ????? The PC must be a fussy eater or it has an allergy

WOW ! I would really like that prog but Internet being Internet it always feels like playing Russian Roulette when installing a download. I do a lot of art on the PC and that sounds like it could save me a lot of time as I have to do this changes manually in my various art packages. .exe can lead to so many problems you must really question how much you need these things. That was a good movie and it would appear that it is not an isolated case. There are many hackers that get jobs with the establishment, if they are really good hackers. It is a sad state of affairs but it looks like you have to be a criminal to get anywhere these days and the few honest folk left are just taken advantage of. You would think that the law applies to all people.

There is always the alternative option of the Gutman 35 pass : fill your drive with lots of trash so that it simply over writes the data you want removed. I recommend CDs or DVDs on the highest bit rate setting or create the largest pictures possible if you have a good art package or video camera. Then once the drive is full you do a simple delete >>> Problem solved Via the scenic route

Sorry I call it as I see it and at this moment the emperor has no clothes but the people only see what they want to see because it is convenient for them to do so, for now. Then CC must be lying because it is was set to Gutmann 35 pass and does it in less than 20 min. The drive also has the operating system on it so it is not the full 180Gb but still it should not take hours unless the drive has a very poor read write speed or some other anomaly is affecting it. I would not like to try it on my external storage though as they are quite large drives. At the end of the day you only have the softwares word for it that it did what you asked.

The common flu kills thousands of people every year in the EU (uk included) but it goes unreported. The establishment just want us to live in fear so that they can control us better. Four of my relatives have had it and they are perfectly ok, even my 82 year old aunt. I may have had it but I don’t use the doctor for such a trivial illness so who knows what colds or flu viruses I got this year. I could not care less about this panic attack they try to invoke. Besides what ever happened to the bird flu they have threatened us with for the past 10 years ? There would be no court case to prove it was because the head was missing so there are no dental records of that body. In those days you only have Fingerprints and Dental records to prove the ID of a corpse so it would be thrown out of a courtroom because of the lack of evidence. The list goes on. But it is easy to dismiss this as just another conspiracy “go back to sleep there is nothing to see here civilian” But if you look you will see how things never change that much in human behaviour. It is nothing short of a miracle that humans have not become extinct by its own folly yet. While everybody says that the “WEB that marks the end” is a reference to the Internet… that is poor foresight by laymen. Has anybody ever considered that it could refer to nuclear power stations that are to be built all over the EU and US ? Does it refers to mobile phone masts that constantly bathe us in their invisible to the eye pollution 24-7 ? Who cares ? Life is the preparation for death

Word has a cash on your system where it stores this list of docs. You can delete these safely or you can set the options in Word to stop it storing all the doc files that appear in that list.

Here is a full list of CC options that you may or may not wart to tick for deletion. Be very careful deleting files in the registry. If you do not know what it does never delete it, not until you know exactly what that file does. CC is a great tool but you should use extreme caution regarding the deletion of files until you know what all of the features you want to use in CC do. Never delete if you are tired because that is where most PC disasters happen. It is good to see you survived your mini disaster. “The person that made no mistakes learns nothing.” I have put a useful address at the bottom of this post for you. Here is some helpful basic rules to keep you out of trouble in future : NEVER NEVER delete files, programs or mails when tired because that is where 90% of PC accidents happen. It can wait until the morning. NEVER delete something if you do not know what it is ~ go learn about what that file or program does first to see if it is safe to remove. NEVER assume that your CC settings will react the same on another persons system because all systems have not got the same settings or programs etc. NEVER mess about with Reg cleaners or Reg fixers unless you know exactly what every file does that you want to delete and if the Reg program you are using works or can be trusted. Personally I do not know anybody that has trusted a Reg fix Program and there are many Reg software packages available. I use only CC on a limited basis for this operation. NEVER run downloaded .exe files you do not know because they can be Viruses waiting for you to open them. (The Virus lay dormant until it's .exe file is opened) Again it cannot be stressed enough no matter how good you are with PC’s ~ NEVER NEVER NEVER delete files or programs or mail when tired because that is where 90% of PC Accidents Happen. You did not state the size of the drive you were cleaning ??? I’m using an older version but I have used the Gutmann and it does not take more than 20 minuets on a 180Gb drive. I agree it does wear out the drive faster with all those passes. I am not that convinced with this software because I used recovery software to see if I could retrieve a file I made for a erase & recover test. I had destroyed a file I created then I ran CC. On reboot I ran a recovery program to see if the file had been destroyed by CC. It was still recoverable ! Now I just do the scramble on the file manually and then I use CC to clear it. CC is still a good prog for removing crap, I have saved many peoples computers from Crashland with this software. One PC had over 1.7Gb of trash on the system, that explained why it kept crashing to my friend
