CeeCee..why isn't it funny?
AJ
I don't know, i just don't found it so funny. Like i said, it's childish and maybe could be funny, if i were 15 or something. Don't get me wrong, i'm not a sobersides person. I LOL many times for different things...

Why does some people turn from being normal into mentally ill when they become stars? One example would be Britney Spears.
I think that their mind can't handle all that success. Plus there's all that hassle (out side of work). Touring around the world promoting new movies, albums and all that stuff...

If you read the story you'll see they went there with a freely available little gadget called TV-Be-Gone which is basically an IR off button that can turn off multiple TVs at once with just a button press. So they went there for a laugh to turn off walls of TVs.
OK, now i understand. Very childish, not so funny...

Didn't quite understand it. What happened?

Thats not true, they've already said there were several prescription drugs nearby, including the sleeping pills he was on.
Yes there was several prescription drugs, but no dope/narcotics.
It's a little bit confusing, because in English there's same word for prescription drugs (medicine) and for drugs (dope/narcotic). In Finland we use different word for both. I mean in English word drug means both, but in here it only means dope.

I think it was likely an overdose....
No drugs found in his apartment.

I tried it for a while a couple of months ago. There was no remarkable (if any) difference in speed, so i decided not to use it. Also there was a problem with Ad-aware (SE) updates, although there was a workaround for it.
-"I suppose it has some security benefits"
-I think only security benefit is, that it got phishing filter. It's not a big benefit though, since most browsers got build-in one now a days.

They are on top of the world and resort to drugs? I just dont get it.

Hollywood actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at a residence in downtown Manhattan.

This was a shocker.

Yes it's possible, i have done the same thing. Go to: View>Options>Keys. Then find 'Pause' and select "None" from 'Mouse' column dropdown menu. Finally hit OK.

I've never used Opera either though
If you got Opera, it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. It's normal to got that Netscape key, so leave it alone.

I don't got answer to your question, but i do have this thing to say: First of all, don't let your hard drive to be heavily fragmented. Defrag your hard drive for example once every month. Or after you have installed a lot of applications. That way your hard drive won't get heavily fragmented and defrag process don't take so much time. Also it's good for your hard drive, since it's not then getting under heavy stress, when defragging.
So, if the defrag process always takes a very long time and hd is under heavy stress, then you defrag too rarely.
-
Yeah, i got it under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE also. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE it's created by Opera and under HKEY_CURRENT_USER there's entries of several apps, for example Real, Java and Winamp.
Opera users, notice that there's also netscape.exe on C:\Program Files\Opera\program\ folder.

So I didn't actually have the value so I had to use the linked instructions for creating the value. I have XP Home but it worked fine. Thanks again!

Does they always load slowly, even after they have once fully loaded ? I mean does they always load slowly, when you open the same folder? One thing to do is increase icon cache size: http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/57/
That icon cache tweak is handy, if your desktop icons are always re-freshing themselves.
I have set my cache to 8192.

Maybe your multimonitor-combination is only supported in normal mode because of the drivers. Yes, suggestion above should fix it. It's because Windows only loads the core system components in safe mode and that leads to many differences in your graphics card's operating behaviour (at least a low resolution on every system).
Yes, i got computer hooked up (s-video) to TV and i get "Cannot Display This Video Mode" message, when Windows is loading. If i boot up to safe-mode, screen stays black, even after Windows has booted up. I have to unplug s-video cable from TV to solve that.
This info is from my Dell monitor user's guide:
OSD Warning Messages
A warning message may appear on the screen indicating that the monitor is out of sync range.
Cannot Display This Video Mode
This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. Either the signal is too high or too low for the monitor to use. See Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical frequency ranges addressable by this monitor. Recommended mode is 1024x768 @ 60Hz.
Occasionally, no warning message appears, but the screen is blank. This could also indicate that the monitor is not synchronizing with the computer or the monitor is in a power save mode.

My computer is about 3 and a half years old, and have used compressed air once. I did it about half year ago. I'm thinking to do it again soon, since there's still air in that bottle i bought. Before i got compressed air, i used vacuum cleaner, mainly to get dust off from the CPU heatsink. My computer does not get very dusty. It got "build-in" air filter on the front of the case. I clean it from time to time.

darkslider: Is your computer hooked up to TV, i.e. with s-video cable?
-
I didn't care for the new version much myself and won't use it either.
Same here. I have tried it, but didn't like it.
-
For anyone else maybe, but not for Darkman.
Yeah, i see weird dreams very often. That mentioned wasn't even weirdest, but it got a kinda "end of the world" feeling on it. I have seen dreams like that a couple of times. They got a strange feeling on them.
-
I saw a weird dream. First, all digital clocks changed to counters. Then i went to outside and saw flying saucers in the distance. One came right to backyard. Alien came out and started to talk. If i remember correctly, it spoke English. It was kinda plastic/metallic, shiny and white. We talked about something and then them (aliens) gave me a bunch of money. It was strange unit. I said, that we got Euro and that you should change the money to Euro. I don't quite remember what happened after all that, but i think that they turned out to hostile. Dream went really strange after that. Weird, huh?

Opera has passed it a long time. If i remember correctly, Opera was the first browser to pass it. Correct, if i'm wrong.

Haven't even noticed that there's a style selector. Well, maybe noticed, but not paid attention to it. Anyway, i think this Piriform style is better.
Sun Java Deployment folder
in Windows Security
Posted
Yes, it's only Java folder. It's normal to have files in there. Most files there are in cache folder, which contains Java temp files. It's good to delete them every once a while. CCleaner cleans that folder, if you have 'Sun Java' checked under 'Applications' window.
That cache folder is also common place for viruses. So remember to keep your Java up to date.
You can also set the limit for cache or disable it completely via Java options (Start>Control Panel>Java). I have disable it completely.
