So I hope all browsers cookies checkboxes comes now unticked by default and that CCleaner becomes useless.
If every checkbox was un checked then ccleaner would still not be useless.

shame norton does not show the location.
I cleaned a computer yesterday with over 200 infections, Norton failed to spot one.
Just a thought.

What browser are you using?
Have you run checks to make sure it is ccleaner? like restarting the computer/browser and checking. Are you sure it isn't the cookie expiring ? not all are permanent

even if they were added into the program they don't have to be enabled by default, as it is, there's like almost 10 items I believe that start out unchecked within the cleaner.
But most of the ideas you suggested step right away from what ccleaner is about. I think it's safe to say most of us who help on here love ccleaner simply because its lite, un bloated, SAFE, and simply does what it says on the tin.
I dont think i have ever seen one MAJOR disaster from ccleaner on here. There has been a few user disaster faults but not just down to ccleaner.
Aethec has helped many people and would not of meant to be disrespectful. But the bottom line is, he was right.

2: Tweaking has nothing to do remove removing junk, I am very cautious of "tweaking" for performance any way. I believe it causes more harm then good.
3:There has been much debate over deleting empty folders. Some people argue it can be dangerous, some like my self argue any decent program would cater for this. Saying that i do not care the slightest for empty folders. They take up no space. May i suggest using a decent uninstaller like revo for such purposes.
4:This steps away again from ccleaner imo

Since you have not posted up a screen shot of the setting my guess is you dont even have WFS even checked.
windows tab - advanced - wipe free space
I would not waste my time WFS, it does nothing to improve performance.

First suggestion, Double click the entry rather then the button (this toggles it)
Second try msconfig. start - run type msconfig and go to the startup tab.
Third manually remove this entry your self. start - run - regedit - and navigate to the entry
The last maybe not the best idea for you since registry editing can be dangerous.
I would if i was you get rid of CyberLink . There are plenty of free better media players out there.

Cleaning a disk, defragmenting a drive, and cleaning the registry are not considered optimizing?
More along the lines of system mechanic, advanced system care etc. More harm then good.

You might want to dig a little further and look at http://windirstat.info/ It is a great program that displays where all the space is being used on your hard drive.
And paragraphs are your friend lol. welcome to the forum.

In the mean time you could right click the wfs option and click clean, have ccleaner minimize to tray, then right click the system tray icon and click "shut down after clean " or what ever it is called.
