it does not save u much space at all. it also slows down the comp as each time the comp wants to use the file it has to uncompress. u should only do this as a last resort

ummm that media monkey may be handy as it can sychronise to virtually all mp3 devices i may be able to get rid of the crap that is music match

that thing to free idle tasks is pointless it take 15 minutes to do it and anyway those proccesses are only done when the computer is idle

i assume it would be free. btw what reason does ur internet lose its connection?? just to make sure its not an error u should test ur connection to see if it really is 10mb

it doesnt delete the program i think it just gets rid of MRU which u dont need. i think an example of this is in ms word where it tells you what documents have been opended recentely

im now trying out pd. it does seem to do more but it takes a hell of a lot longer to do it

i doubt it matters probably would want to do error checking before defrag

ok i have a bog standard dvd rom drive and it is died. if i put a game, dvd, audio cd it does nothing. the light flickers on and off for a minute but the computer does not think that there is neting in it. it is a jmls XJ-HD166S. i dont know what to do with it. i have also just updated the firmware/drivers.

the reg cleaner i use aside CCleaner is easy cleaner

its not so much defraging the registry those programs rebuild it from scratch. so they get rid of free space and i think useless keys

memory is ram which u sed was 248. to find hard drive usage double click on my computer then right click on ur hard drive then on properties and see how much space is free

control + alt + del (Xp). i think u would find that a memory increase would make a difference. nowaydays a pc should really have at least 512mb ram. i have that and i find that i have some slowdown aswell but i cant really afford to get more at the moment. also how full is ur hard drive??

well u know how much ram u have. to find out how many procceses are running just go into task manager and it should appear in the bottom left corner
