  1. Making this change broke my Sticky Password extension in Chrome V50.0.2661.102 m on Windows 10 x64 insider build 14342. The extension became inactive. I had to uninstall it from Chrome and then re-install the extension via the Sticky Password program.
  2. Yep, it is Winapp2.ini Version 5.11
  3. I suggest we leave things as is until Winapp steps into the arena and debate. I recently switched back to Avira Internet Security and was a bit surprised to find that its Avira Speedup System optimizer uses Winapp2.ini. I don't recall seeing it being used, but it has been a year since I used Avira.
  4. My preference is to leave these 2 entries as they currently are now. If they are changed as shown above, then it could mean that the Config.msi and/or the LastGoog.tmp folders would go undetected for many days if the user "trimmed" the Winapp2.ini file on the last update and these 2 folders were nonexistent at the time of the "trim".
  5. Thanks much for the update ! And no need to apologize about slight delay. We know you have a life outside of Winapp2.ini and it is great to see that you are putting your priorities where they should be.
  6. DetectOS=6.2|6.3 keeps it from displaying on Windows 10. However, I don't know if it displays on Windows 8 because I no longer have Windows 8 on any of my systems.
  7. I tried DetectOS=6.2 and |6.2 and |6.2| and 6.2|. All show up in my Windows 10 x64 Pro Build 11082. ?????
  8. Two [store*] showing up in Windows 10. 9. I agree...do not add if they are questionable. It is hard enough figuring out what problems are in Windows without self inducing more of them.

  11. The following is just my opinion: I continue to feel that all these cleaning modules should not be removed from Winapp2.ini. Most of them have been present in Winapp2.ini for years. The user base of Winapp2.ini who utilize them (one or many of them) is accustomed to them doing their cleaning work. I suspect that most of the users will be unaware that these cleaner modules have suddenly disappeared...that is, unless the read the monthly release notes...which many users probably do not.
  12. This is okay by me if it is not desirable to combine and use the one I submitted.
  13. Yes, and I will most likely install the paid version when it is released. However, I still do not see how this negates my recommended change at post #5238. There are a lot of programs that have a free and paid version and have the same cleaner in Winapp2.ini. ??
  14. Well, I wonder what this program is that I installed yesterday from the Ashampoo website.

  17. If you look at the picture below from my system's Edge, you can see what it does to the Favorites/Bookmarks when running the [Microsoft Edge More*] module. These favorites have been imported from IE 11.
  18. Remove: [Microsoft Edge More*] I recommend that this cleaning module be removed from Winapp2.ini. MS Edge is in development and this module cleans too much. For example, it removes all imported favorites/bookmarks. Who knows what it may improperly clean as Microsoft incorporates enhancements/features into Edge. 19. Whereas Microsoft is retiring Internet Explorer and Edge is far from being fully functional and "security ready", I have elected to default my browser to Google Chrome on my Windows 10 systems. After a couple of weeks of using Chrome, I discovered this a.m. that our Winapp2.ini's [html5 Storage*] cleaning code is not cleaning Chrome's File System folder. In fact, this folder had grown to 3.5+ gigabytes in size since my installation of Chrome. See the code below for this element. From what I read via a "Chrome HTML5 Storage" search, it appears safe/proper to fully clean out this "File System" folder. I yield to users who have Chrome experience and knowledge.
