That's what I'm saying, in your case it should be "Blank Page" in both address and tab bars in IE. I know you don't want to hear it, but you've been highjacked. Look it up! I've been through it!

That's what I'm trying to say, the standard tab name is supposed to be "Blank Page." If it says "About Blank" you've been highjacked. It's a fact, look it up on google or any other search engine. I had it once and it took a spyware program xoftspyse to get rid of it. My tabs returned to "Blank Page again after using it.." If you have it, you lose control of your homepage, and every time you set your homepage and reboot it again, it changes back to About Blank.

Isn't About Blank a homepage hijacker?? When you use a blank page as your homepage it's supposed to read "Blank Page" and not About Blank. There are tons of listing about this. Just google "about blank and you'll see what I mean. How to remove about blank About Blank

Is there anything I can do from my end so you don't have to keep renaming the hosts files, or is that a permanent fix?

Yes, it was before it made it to the desktop, it happened right after it finished downloading it. I had clicked 'Run' instead of 'Save'. Maybe I should try saving it? I went to the google search link and it took me to an old wtv-zone forum post. I copied it and pasted it below. Yes I am! I can't wait till it comes out. Should be a good one! I can't imagine anyone not liking all the batman movies, with the exception of one person here who doesn't seem to like too much of anything. Yeah, I liked Jack Nicholson as the joker too. Batman is like superman in many ways, very normal and good looking guy, but with super powers! That's the way it should be. Yep, should be a good movie.

'Andavari won't draw it because he doesn't like MS Paint. He doesn't like jpg or gifs either. He also doesn't like Image Shack, and if I remember correctly, he also doesn't like posters images to load too slow either, it annoys him and he'll block it. What else don't you like 'Andavari, Me? Wow! he's really good! Cost money for his pics though I might just keep the one I have since I managed to get the bytes down on it now. I don't know how it did it so good but, maybe now it will load better for everyone. I hope so.

Sounds like a tool I could use. When you right click on an image 'online', does it have an option of which format to save the pic in..i.e. gif, jpg? Or is it just for pics already on your pc? Thanks for sharing the link.

Hey check it out, I got my avatar down to 2496 bytes now. Big drop from 19840 bytes. What I did was this morning in an attempt to drop the bytes, I uploaded the full size picture (instead of resizing it myself) and let Piriform do the resizing and adjustments for me automatically. It made a big difference in the bytes. Have any idea why? I have no clue, but I'm glad it did it.

I usually just use image shack to store pics, and I use the zone for hot-linking and I built my own homepage there. Actually, most of my pics I store on a disk.

It's only 19840 bytes. I don't know, heck, maybe I'll make another one in gif format this time, or just get another one all together.

Oh OK I didn't know IE7 Pro was an add-on, that's the first I've heard of it. I'm a little weary of adding things to my IE anyway, mostly because its doing everything I really want it to do right now, and I don't want to add anything that might make it run slower or encounter any problems. Actually, the only add-on I have is the spell-checker. I'm kinda that way about my PC in general, if it ain't broke don't fix it. About your spell-checker problem, If this site is the only place where you experience this problem then why is it working for most everyone else? That's the question to ask. I think the simple fact that it works for 'most' everyone else, pretty much eliminates the idea that it's a site issue. I think the only way you're going to figure this out is by narrowing this down to when it started happening, what browsers are doing what right and what wrong with your machine and other peoples machines..ect.

Hi, The links below are my favorite image hosts. The images at both hosts are hot-linkable, or 'remote' linkable which is a real plus for posting pics. It's a user friendly host too. I thought there was a spell checker that came with the pro version of IE7. I've had my spell-checker for about 4 months now I guess. It's been good so far. Maybe you need to uninstall it and install it again. Could be you lost some components of it along the way. Some cleaning programs can do that.
