dg8
Hi - I'm new to this forum and I'm finding my way round the site. I have added an avatar, but when the forum accepted it, it had a black background? Being relatively new to computers and this forum I'm not sure if this is "normal" - have I done something wrong? Can someone tell me how to fix this [if it is an issue]
Moderators Andavari Posted March 16, 2007 Moderators Share Posted March 16, 2007 Welcome to the forums! What format was the avatar saved as? .png, .jpg, .gif I ask because if the image was made with a transparent background (.gif an .png only) in say Paint.NET, and then re-saved in say Microsoft Paint that would explain it since some programs can't recognize or save the transparency and thus mess up your pic. Moderators Andavari Posted March 16, 2007 Moderators Share Posted March 16, 2007 Well your avatar was saved as a .jpg. I fixed it for you by repainting in the transparency it's been zipped and you have two formats to choose from .gif or .png with transparency, so if one of them doesn't work try the other one. Note: Don't resave them as you'll most likely destroy the transparency. Download: Edit: I fixed it again, he had a small smug underneath a private area that had me laughing - not appropriate for the forums. Attachment removed. dg8
As you are probably aware I am struggling to get to grips with this forum. I have sorted my avatar problems with many thanks to you - however I'm now intrigued with the comments about hidden message??? This avatar was "commissioned" with my preferences with my Tartan to represent my Clan. Now I'm left wondering if this hidden message is an insult to my family? how can I "see" or "remove" this hidden message? Thanks a lot for your help - Awe the best. Sorry for being so naive, but I've had a few wee drams [it is Friday - and the good lady said it was okay] so I'm exploring this site and so far I have a good "first impressions". login123
Hi, dg8. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
