I mostly just want to record some talk radio while I'm at work. Thank You!

Hi. Talk programs: BBC (streaming audio) and ABC (www.abc.net.au) MP. Try Radio365. At Pandora Radio you can create a playlist of personal music preferences from a huge libary (free subscription). Any search engine will take you to these sites. Good luck!

Have you tried:

http://www.roemersoftware.com/#Free-Sound-Recorder This is a program called Hi-Q. I think the free version limit recording to 96kbps

http://www.screamer-radio.com/

http://www.mp3mymp3.com/

http://www.stationripper.com/

You could also try Streamripper for Winamp

I've used the winamp one before.

Its cool to be able to do this but I wouldn't count too much on it doing a very good job.

Especially if you want it to record music. The problem is that it will incorrectly split the file and start recording the next song even when the station hasn't switched yet.(so you always get cut off songs or songs with a little bit of the song before it at the beginning)

Thanks for the tip. I`ve downloaded the Screamer and the Station Ripper as well.

May as well give them all a try.

Sadly there`s an article on Internet Radio here:

Please take a moment to educate yourself about a very dangerous proposal for legislation in the United States offered by Rep. Mike Ferguson (R-NJ), called the "Audio Broadcast Flag Licensing Act of 2006". If passed, this legislation would severely limit your rights to record and enjoy digital audio.

This DRM is becoming a real bummer.
