1200 Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 hello everyone, for some weird reason my xp pro started to acting strange. when it times for stand by it just stay there,i don't think it is freezing because i pressed the number lock key and it still work. The Num Lock / Caps Lock keys are low-level operations and never (appear) to be affected by windows-crashes / locks etc. They will 'almost' always work (for some reason - I have no clue why; maybe Dos related ...another topic) If they do appear to work there is a slight possiblity that windows will come back to life (usually highly unlikely) - if, however, said buttons refuse to work at all ....then u may as well power-off (ideally you will have XP and above !)
