LarryArnld
Bought the Pro and downloaded it today, 12/19/23. It showed it found 4296 files on a corrupted XD chip and would take 50 min to retrieve (hoping!) them all. Promising! Came back an hour later and see no screen showing anything that happened. We did not spec a drive to save any recovered files to (wuld be an external HD if given the opportunity). What gives? What do we do next - rescan the XD? - or where do we look? Moderators nukecad Posted December 20, 2023 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2023 You seem to be missing a stage, did you select which files you wanted to try and recover? I'd try again from scratch. After scanning you select the files found that you wish to (try to) recover by ticking the boxes on the left. (Ticking the box at the top will select them all). A 'Recover' button then becomes availiable at the bottom right. Once you have selected all the files that you wish to (try to) recover then on clicking the Recover button you should be given the option to pick a drive to recover to. This is an old but pretty good guide to using the Recovery Wizard, it's a PDF so you can download and save it for reference. https://www.spkaa.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/SPK_Recuva.pdf If you are new to using Recuva, or for a simple recovery, then the Wizard is the easy way to recover deleted files. Advanced mode is similar in use but has more options, (such as recovering the non-deleted files from a crashed/reformatted drive, or attempting to recreate the folder structure of the deleted files rather than just recovering all the files to one location). *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning?
