RollOverAndChainsaw
Ccleaner will temporarilly delete SuggestedSites.dat from Internet Explorer but when it does Windows 10 just recreates it again and it grows over time. So I deleted the contents of the file and set the file properties to read-only. Now I need Ccleaner to not delete it or Windows will recreate the full-size file again. Does Ccleaner have whitelist or some other way of not deleting a file and if so, how? I'm not looking to whitelist a whole app. Just this one file. Moderators nukecad Posted September 1, 2023 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2023 You can make any file an 'Exclude' in Custom Clean, which means that Custom Clean will leave it alone. https://support.ccleaner.com/s/article/choose-files-you-don-t-want-to-clean-with-ccleaner-for-windows?language=en_US Note that such excludes apply to Custom Clean, they will not apply if you run Health Check. PS. Windows creating files which grow, you clearing them, them growing again, is all normal behaviour and one of the reasons that CCleaner exists.
