Help: Unfixable Issues

WinXP SP2

When I run CCleaner 1.31.325 it repeatedly reports three issues that it is unable to fix:

(i) 'The COM component CLSID\{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A} references an invalid CLSID. These are often left behind after uninstalling software.

Solution: Delete the registry value.'

(ii) 'The COM component CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000} references an invalid CLSID. These are often left behind after uninstalling software.

Solution: Delete the registry value.'

(iii) 'The COM component CLSID\{D27CDB70-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000} references an invalid CLSID. These are often left behind after uninstalling software.

Solution: Delete the registry value.'

When I open and attempt to delete them in RegEdit I receive the message:

'Unable to delete all specified values' or 'Cannot delete. Error while deleting'.

Any ideas? (in non-techy language ideally!)

Thanks in advance.

try it in safe mode.

it could be a program thats running or something.

its dangerous to manually delete them so i dont advise you do that.

try CCleaner in safe mode first and see if that works.

to boot into safe mode, press F8 repeatedly while booting up.

I ran CCleaner in safe mode but got exactly the same result.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Do you think I should now move this to the Bug forum?

PS If it's any help the Data column of CCleaner's issue scan results also gives the following information for all three unfixable issues:

InProcServer32\C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash8b.ocx
