Chairman20
Ever since switching from Avast to Bitdefender for protection CCCleaner has stopped running when I attempt to launch. Is this a known anti-virus block? Is it likely old Avast startup files are "fighting" the new Bitdefender?
Moderators hazelnut Posted August 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2018 How did you uninstall Avast? Did you try using the cleanup tool afterwards? https://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility (note you have to run it in safe mode.) Moderators Nergal Posted August 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2018 Did you white list ccleaner in bitdefender? What version of ccleaner? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
