slowday444
I don't want it to be an attachment or a link to the image. I want the actual screen shot in the message. I've formated both Outlook and O Express for html and to send pictures but all I can get are links to the shot. I've received code help from another site but I still can't get it to work! What should I use and how do I make this work. I host here: http://xs.to/ I want to send a shot of an error message with Outlook from work, to our IT person and I'd like to just have the image in the mail. I can try this at home with Outlook Express if you can explain it to me!

Eldmannen
Yes you should definitly keep the quotes. <img src="http://www.example.com/images/picture.png"> But you should stay away from Outlook and Outlook Express because else you might get much virus and crap into your computer. It is better and safer to use Mozilla Thunderbird. * http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/

slowday444
neighberaaron, I've been beating my head against the wall for nothing: "I don't think you can embed an image that's hosted on another site. It'll just give you a link to go to (like you've already noticed). The only way I ever embed images is by putting the image on my hard drive. When you get to the point in your new email message that you want to put a picture, go to the Insert menu at the top of the page and select Picture. It'll give you the typical search box to find it with, so just click on Browse, find where you saved the picture to your hard drive, and select it, then hit Okay. It should put the picture right in the email." I did send some tests to my work account (could actually see the screen shots in my sent mail) from home but when I open the Outlook Web Access, the little image icon is in the body of the mail but it vanishes immediately. It may be some sort of security thing on our network. I'll have to wait until Monday to test, hoping pc to pc on the network would allow that if that is the problem. The home Outlook Web Access thing is very watered down, it doesn't even have an insert tab. Thanks again everyone!
TheFiresInTheSky
pc to pc isnt the problem. its probably just the version that your using. i suggest trying an update. if that code didnt work, im supprised, ill have to try it... anybody know the direct code to enter in? the one i posted doesnt work. SORRY!
slowday444
I sent the screen shots from home to my work account. I think the problem is just that the state network security settings is blocking the image in the body of the mail.
TheFiresInTheSky
i dont THINK that the network has any affect on that kind of stuff. or if it does, i havent found a way to do it yet
