ValentinoGutierrez
Hi guys, when i open speccy, the WMI provider Host cpu usage jump up to 10-15% so i check the event visor -> microsoft -> windows -> WMI-activity -> operations and there is A LOT of error where the processID is the same as speccy(as you can see in the image) so that confirm my theory. The thing that i want to know is: how i fix that. PD: if i open MSI afterburner the WMI process use like 0.7% of CPU, soooo that confirm more my theory
Moderators Nergal Posted January 10, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2018 Speccy uses wmi to query most (all?) of its data from, so I'd say it's supposed to do that. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators mta Posted January 10, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2018 What version do you have now? I agree with Negril, WMI usage increasing would be expected and normal. the amount of WMI errors however is concerning and needs further investagation. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
