Trojan found by avast after downloading ccleaner

Are your avast definitions up-to-date? Where did you download it from? Please try again and take a screenshot of the message.

 

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

v5.35.6210. Ran a boot-time scan by avast and it found a trojan in ccleaner. Ii run windows 7 64 bit. Unfortunely, i accidently deleted it before writing down any more info.

I get the same thing with windows defender.

That is because you have ccleaner version 5.33 in your downloads folder which was the affected version.

 

Might be an idea to delete it.
