Moderators Nergal Posted August 26, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 26, 2017 is it a virus or normal ... task manager shows that taskeng.com opens every time CCleaner is opened ... did not do that previously Do you have ccleaner setup to skip uac? Ccleaner uses a task to enable skipping. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Nergal Posted August 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2017 No, it couldn't do it on its own, though you may want to check the options screens just in case. Edit: also do you have ccleaner setup to clean at start-up, not sure it matters but good to check.
