Moderators Andavari Posted April 10, 2006 Moderators Share Posted April 10, 2006 I've been using Mozilla Firefox for the past few days after Mozilla Suite started acting up with randomly not wanting to load, even after uninstalling it and doing a clean installation it finally just became more of an annoyance that I'm willing to deal with hence I refuse to reboot when it acts up. What I want to do with Firefox is get the Up/Down scroll speed set at a faster+smoother rate more inline with what I'm used to in Opera. I already know that enabling Smooth Scrolling in Firefox won't do it! Are there any other tweaks/additions to do within prefs.js that will allow this functionality change, or is it futile? Mike Rochip
There are mousewheel options in about:config. The line to modify is: mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.numlines The higher the integer, the faster the scrolling should be. Didn't seem to have much effect on my PC, though. There are some scrolling extensions on this page, but I don't think any are what you are looking for except for SuperScroll which isn't compatible with newer FireFox versions yet. Moderators Andavari Posted April 11, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted April 11, 2006 Thanks for the suggestions! I'll play around to see if I can at least speed up scrolling a tad bit.
