bk6583 Posted November 20, 2016 Share Posted November 20, 2016 Tried to do a normal update, which has worked numerous times before. Now the update screen just hangs. Tried uninstalling CCleaner and the uninstall screen just hangs. Tried manually deleting CCleaner and I get a screen telling me to close an open CCleaner program before I can delete?? Tried a new download in the hopes that it would overwrite the current program but the install screen also hangs. What's going on? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Make sure ccleaner is closed (including monitoring) and rerun the installer ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
