MarkS007
Hi, I have been doing performance testing on my machine and have noticed that PCMark 8 and 3DMark leave a lot of log files in the document directory. Is it possible to have these included in CCleaner Thanks Marks
Moderators Nergal Posted August 25, 2016 Moderators Share Posted August 25, 2016 Hi, the developers strive to add as many items to clean as possible; however, there are so many softwares out there that it would be impossible to know what to clean from them all. To help the developers support this product - and so you can clean it until they do - the they have provided a feature call winapp2. There is a link to an explanation under this post, in my signature and a readily available community driven template at the top of the ccleaner discussion board. Basically an entry is a file or registry key that identifies that the program exists, and a single or set of files/registry keys which are to be removed. So here's an example [Malwarebytes Anti Malware] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs|*.txt FileKey2=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Quarantine|*.* ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
