Microsoft Edge "skipped"

Hello....I have been a long time user who upgrading to CCPro a few months ago.

Here is my problem........whenever I use it, after it does its maintenance, when the action box comes up, it says that Microsoft Edge was "skipped", for the "internet cache".

This happens when I have all browsers closed.

It also happens on both the "Windows" and "Applications" tabs.

All the boxes are checked except for the "saved passwords" box.

Any help would be appreciated.  I have the newest update installed.............John.

1) since you have professional you have priority support from the support site, much better answers from developers than us users.

2) usually this issue is caused by an errant (still running) or orphaned (stuck in background) process:

either edge still running in the background, check through all processes in the expanded task manager

Or a windows ui app

Or an application that uses the OS html renderer. Some examples are outlook, quicken, word, but that's by no means an exhaustive list

3) In ccleaner, the windows and applications tabs always run at the same time, not two different processes. So one click (analysis/clean) will achieve analysing/cleaning both.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

a lot of other threads are on the topic of Edge being skipped.

if you could elaborate on what "... and restated it." means, it may help others.

(or was it a typo, and you restarted it) :)

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
