Moderators Nergal Posted March 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2016 What version of windows, were the shadow copies on the encrypted drive. I've heard mumblings of people using recovery software on rasomware drives, but honestly this may verge more on malware fixing, which we aren't a qualified site for (though we can point you I the way of some if so you wish). ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators hazelnut Posted March 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2016 Please go here to the site which deals with all ransomware issues like this. Read all thread. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/605607/locky-ransomware-how-to-remove-support-and-discussion-topic/ Also note As part of the encryption process, Locky will also delete all of the Shadow Volume Copies on the machine so that they cannot be used to restore the victim's files http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/the-locky-ransomware-encrypts-local-files-and-unmapped-network-shares/ Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
