calthax
I have 2 questions about Defraggler 1. With replace Windows Disk Defragmenter on will clicking (Defragment disk/Analyze disk/Configure schedule) in Windows Disk Defragmenter use Defraggler instead of Windows Disk Defragmenter. 2. With replace Windows Disk Defragmenter on Will Defraggler do scheduled defragmentation instead of Windows Disk Defragmenter
Moderators mta Posted October 25, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 25, 2015 Piriform Defraggler and Windows Disk Defragmenter (now called Optimise Drives under Win8/10) are separate programs that do the same thing. You can use either. Setting up a scheduled event can be done for either, or both, programs. So scheduling Defraggler to run monthly will be independent of a schedule to run Windows Defragmenter weekly, for example. Installing Piriform's Defraggler does not replace the inbuilt Windows defragger. Ooops, unless of course you tick that option. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data.
