One thing I just recently noticed is that there was one defraggler topic where it said defraggler 2.03 was 3-5 times slower than 2.02 to exact this one https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32064 that makes me suspect that the developers are unintentionally making defraggler slower and slower because they say they improve it even though it gets slower and slower per update they're not doing this on purpose it's an accident because they say they're improving it and it unintentionally gets slower and slower it also makes me wonder do they even read their own source code do they use mingw or Visual C to compile and do they use -O3 because that's the fastest compiler option

Ok you win. folder processing needs to be way faster or removed for my idea to work.

What I meant was that doing Quick Defrag first then Regular Defrag for fragments smaller than 50Mb/64Mb reduces amount of work that Regular Defrag has to do so it makes Regular Defrag faster

My suggestion is to replace Default Defrag with a combination of Quick Defrag then Regular Defrag. Quick Defrag is faster than Regular Defrag because it does fragments smaller than 50Mb/64Mb. and reduces the amount of work that Regular Defrag has to do. so I do it first then Regular Defrag to speed up Defraggler.

My suggestion is to replace full defrag with 50M/64M quick defrag then regular defrag to increase speed

I have 2 questions about Defraggler 1. With replace Windows Disk Defragmenter on will clicking (Defragment disk/Analyze disk/Configure schedule) in Windows Disk Defragmenter use Defraggler instead of Windows Disk Defragmenter. 2. With replace Windows Disk Defragmenter on Will Defraggler do scheduled defragmentation instead of Windows Disk Defragmenter
